DIVE CLUB EVENING DIVE
JULY
Friday 10th
City of Brisbane – 26mtrs
Ropes off: 6.3pm away
The City of Brisbane
She was 451ft long and had a beam of 57ft, It was on the 13th August 1918 whilst travelling in ballast from London to Buenos Aires that she became the latest and last victim of the submarine UB-57.
This wreck has an impressive bow to her, it stands a good 6mtrs high and is very intact, under the bow the keel is clear of the rocky seabed by about a foot. As you move from the bow towards the stern the wreck breaks down and becomes a tangled mass of twisted wreckage, this has enabled marine life to grow and it has now got loads of dead mans fingers and anemones living on its exterior, lots of crabs and various fish now frequent this habitat with big bass in the summer. As you get to the stern you can see the remains of a large deck gun laying in the wreckage.
We will be going out of Brighton Marina onboard the lovely and spacious Channel Diver, with skipper Steve, and Caroline. This is a lovely big boat with everything you could need, including the all important and much loved lift at the back of the boat for easy exits out of the water.
Evening Wreck Dive £50pp
Please see below for further dives and for booking Ts&Cs

BOAT RULES
The boat goes with a minimum of 6 divers, but can carry a maximum of 12 divers.
Make sure you have your own DSMB and Reel
NO DSMB….. NO DIVE.
Please note: the ropes away time is when the boat leaves the marina, make sure you are there in plenty of time to park up and get yourself and your kit onto the boat. The tides wait for no one, if you are late, the boat will have to go without you.
The skipper is in charge, please pay close attention to any instructions given.
BOOKING RULES
IF YOU BOOK A SPACE, YOU NEED TO TURN UP
IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT ANY LONGER, YOU NEED TO EITHER:
FIND A REPLACEMENT DIVER
OR YOU NEED TO PAY FOR THE SPACE
TO SECURE YOUR SPACE WE WILL NEED Cash upfront, or bank transfer to us, this is to ensure we don’t have to cancel the whole dive if someone cannot make it but doesn’t find a replacement diver.
Please drop into the centre before hand to secure your space with the cash, or if you live too far away, call us up and we can give you the bank details.
IF YOU CANNOT GO, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FILL YOUR SPACE,
WE CANNOT GIVE REFUNDS AS THE BOAT WILL HAVE HELD THE BOOKING FOR US.
Also if you dropping out means that the minimum number of divers is not 6, then the other divers would lose out, which is not fun for anyone.
The above does not apply if the weather stops the boat from going out, the skipper makes the final call, always with safety of divers being the most important factor.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS BEFORE RESERVING A SPACE
