Dive Club Evening Dives 2025

DIVE CLUB EVENING DIVES 2025

We have the dates for the Dive Club monthly evening dives for 2025.

Please be aware of the depths of the wrecks, ensure you have the depth allowance on your training to make the dives safely. Anything below 18m will require at least your PADI Advanced certification, or equivalent from other training agencies.

We will be going out of Brighton Marina onboard the lovely and spacious Channel Diver, with skipper Steve, and Caroline. This is a lovely big boat with everything you could need, including the all important and much loved lift at the back of the boat for easy exits out of the water.

BOAT RULES

The boat goes with a minimum of 6 divers, but can carry a maximum of 12 divers.

Make sure you have your own DSMB and Reel
NO DSMB…..   NO DIVE.

Please note: the ropes away time is when the boat leaves the marina, make sure you are there in plenty of time to park up and get yourself and your kit onto the boat. The tides wait for no one, if you are late, the boat will have to go without you.

The skipper is in charge, please pay close attention to any instructions given.

BOOKING RULES

IF YOU BOOK A SPACE, YOU NEED TO TURN UP

IF YOU CANNOT MAKE IT ANY LONGER, YOU NEED TO EITHER:
FIND A REPLACEMENT DIVER
OR YOU NEED TO PAY FOR THE SPACE

TO SECURE YOUR SPACE WE WILL NEED Cash upfront, or bank transfer to us, this is to ensure we don’t have to cancel the whole dive if someone cannot make it but doesn’t find a replacement diver.

Please drop into the centre before hand to secure your space with the cash, or if you live too far away, call us up and we can give you the bank details.

IF YOU CANNOT GO, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FILL YOUR SPACE, WE CANNOT GIVE REFUNDS AS THE BOAT WILL HAVE HELD THE BOOKING FOR US.
Also if you dropping out means that the minimum number of divers is not 6, then the other divers would lose out, which is not fun for anyone.

The above does not apply if the weather stops the boat from going out, the skipper makes the final call, always with safety of divers being the most important factor.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE HAPPY WITH THIS BEFORE RESERVING A SPACE

DROP IN or CALL US TO BOOK YOUR SPACE

Kit hire extra as needed.

Please call or email the shop to book your space.

All dives are subject to weather conditions.

Also if you join the Ocean View Diving Club and come along to a Club Night, which are on Wednesdays, you are highly likely to meet divers planning their own dive trips who are looking for others to join them.

Comfortable

Lightweight design features a compact case and high-flow mouthpiece for greater comfort.

The SCUBAPRO MK25 / S620Ti / Special Edition White Set is an awesome bit of kit, treat yourself!

MK25 Evo First Stage

The MK25 EVO first stage lets you enjoy an ultra-fast breathing response, instant delivery of air on demand, great sensitivity and extra-high airflow — regardless of how cold the water is. This is made possible with SCUBAPRO’s exclusive patented Extended Thermal Insulating System (XTIS) that fully isolates the mechanical elements of the first stage from the cold, increasing its freezing resistance 30 percent over previous versions of the MK25 without compromising breathing performance. This makes the MK25 EVO the ultimate do-it-all first stage for all water temperatures.

MK25 Features
  • Air balanced flow-through piston in a chrome-plated brass body provides constant and effortless airflow unaffected by depth, tank pressure, or breathing rate.
  • Patented XTIS (Extended Thermal Insulating System) fully isolates the mechanical elements from the cold, increasing freezing resistance 30 percent over the previous MK25 without compromising breathing performance. Key insulation system components are visible in blue.
  • New spring insulating coating, body insulating bushing, anti-freeze cap, bigger body and cap thread all work in concert with the XTIS to improve cold-water performance.
  • Anti-freeze protection radically increases breathing reliability when diving in the most extreme water temperatures.
  • Two opposing high pressure ports allow the first stage to be positioned either up or down.
  • Five high-flow low pressure ports on a swivel turret maximise hose routing options.

S620Ti Second Stage

The white S620Ti regulator touts a long list of features guaranteed to enhance a diver’s underwater experience, offering improved work of breathing in a small, lightweight package.

The S620 Ti embraces the best features of SCUBAPRO’s renowned S600 in an upgraded, state-of-the-art design. Smaller and lighter than the S600 but using the same-sized diaphragm, the S620 Ti delivers effortless airflow under all dive conditions. The full titanium inlet tube is ultralight, the large purge button improves water circulation, and the reengineered exhaust tee increases performance while directing bubbles out of the field of view. In all water temperatures, in all dive conditions, this reg system is a winner.

S620Ti Features
  • S620Ti second stage’s air-balanced valve smooths out the inhalation effort at varying depths and supply pressures.
  • Rugged reinforced technopolymer case and front cover with stainless steel frame looks good plus is able to withstand years of aggressive diving.
  • Full titanium barrel is rugged, anti-corrosion and lightweight for long-term reliability.
  • Large diaphragm fits inside a more compact second stage casing for maximum breathing sensitivity.
  • User controls include an easy-grip diver-adjustable inhalation effort knob and Venturi-Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA) lever.
  • CE certified according the latest EN250A European Standards for all diving conditions, including extreme cold water.
  • CE certified to EN250A European Standards for all diving conditions, including extreme cold water.

Dive/predive switch prevents freeflows when not being used

Compact and efficient exhaust tee minimises exhalation effort

Compact Hi-Flow mouthpiece is comfortable, made with FDA-approved silicone and features a large cross-section to maximise airflow

Enriched Air Nitrox Course 23rd February 2025

PADI Enriched Air Nitrox February 2025

Enriched Air Nitrox Course 23rd February 2025

We will be running the next Enriched Air Nitrox course on Sunday 23rd February 2025

Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives.

We all want to stay longer on that reef or wreck, it isn’t always our breathing rate that brings us up before we want to, often we still have plenty of air left but our No Decompression Limit (NDL) brings us back up.

Learn how diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, you’ll learn that there are equipment considerations when using EANx. The PADI Enriched Air EANx Certification course gives the knowledge and skills to dive with Enriched Air mixes up to 40% O2, within recreational scuba limits.

During your classroom session you will:

  • Discuss managing oxygen exposure
  • Practice analysing O2 content in your tank
  • Set your computer for diving with enriched air nitrox

You will need to do a small amount of home study before the course, this is all now done with the digital PADI home study eLearning material. The time spent with us in the classroom will be going over the practical part of the analysis procedure of using Enriched Air for diving.

Learn how diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content can give you more available dive time, you’ll learn that there are equipment considerations when using EANx. The PADI Enriched Air EANx Certification course gives the knowledge and skills to dive with Enriched Air mixes up to 40% O2, within recreational scuba limits.

The Open Water Course is your introduction into the underwater world.

Whether you are interested in the explosive kaleidoscope of colours within a beautiful coral reef, or the rusting metal of a wrecked military cruiser, the PADI Open Water Diver Course is the world’s favourite way to get there.

Have you ever wondered how it would feel to be weightless? Do you want to find out what your mates have been going on about all this time? Sign up to the Open Water course to learn.

You will start with your Home Study, by reading all of your tablet/pc based eLearning material at home at your own pace. You will learn about many different aspects of diving theory, equipment, safety, skills, and what to expect during your course. Then you will come to us at the Dive Centre to carry out the short classroom session, then into the pool for your skills training.

You don’t need to come to the shop to get the course arranged and access your digital home study. This part of the course can all be arranged via email. The course can be paid for via BACS or credit card. We will then send you the code for your home study, with instructions how to do this. Our Professional and friendly Instructors and Divemasters will make sure that your journey to becoming a qualified diver is the fun and stress free adventure that it should be.

Open Water and Drysuit Combination

If you are intending to dive in the UK, you will need to learn how to use a Drysuit to allow you to stay warmer for longer in the cooler waters of the UK. If you do your Open Water Diver course with us in the earlier and latter parts of the year, we will only take you in the water in a Drysuit due to the water temperature. We offer a huge discount off of the PADI Drysuit Diver course when you take it alongside your Open Water course. Please see the Packages page, this is the Open Water UK Diver Combination Package

If you would prefer, you can complete your qualifying dives on a holiday you already have booked. You can do the Classroom and Pool section of this course here in the UK, and complete the qualifying dives on your holiday. This saves spending days of your holiday in the classroom. This is called the Open Water Referral Course. Follow this link to find out more about this option.
