Enriched Air Nitrox Course November 2022

Posted on August 13, 2022

Nitrox November 2022

Enriched Air Nitrox Course – Sunday 20th November 2022

We all want to stay longer on that reef or wreck, it isn’t always our breathing rate that brings us up before we want to, often we still have plenty of air left but our No Decompression Limit (NDL) brings us back up.

You will need to do a small amount of home study before the course, this is all now done with the digital PADI home study eLearning material. The time spent with us during the afternoon will be going over the practical part of the analysis procedure of using Enriched Air for diving.

Itinerary Highlights:
(always weather dependant)

St. Johns
St Johns is a vast collection of small reefs offering some of the most remote and rewarding diving in the Red Sea. This incredibly beautiful reef lies a short distance north of the Sudanese border. The reef covers a huge area and many dives would be needed to explore the numerous coral heads and islands. Habili Ali offers giant gorgonians and black corals whilst grey reef, silvertip and schools of hammerhead sharks might be found on the west side. Habili Gafaar is a mass of soft corals teaming with shoals of snappers, butterfly fish and barracudas. Mantas, grey reef and silvertip sharks can often be seen in the blue.

Red Sea 2021 Polaroid 4

Gota Soraya
Rated as possibly one of the best wall dives in the Red Sea, with overhangs and cracks in the reef wall full of glass fish and sweepers and an abundance of corals, Grey Reef, Silvertips and Hammerhead sharks.

Fury Shoals
At Fury Shoals, dive Sha’ab Claude with its famous swim-throughs and huge porite corals. White tip reef sharks and an anemone and clownfish settlement can be seen a little off the reef to the South. Abu Galawa Soraya has a fantastic coral garden and a wreck of a private sailing boat populated with glass fish.

PLEASE NOTE:
You don’t need a minimum number of dives, but you should be comfortable with drift dives, as currents can be unpredictable and strong. If you are an Open Water Diver, some dives are below 18m therefore we recommend having advanced experience or taking your PADI Advanced Open Water course on board to maximise your enjoyment from the trip. Inexperienced and beginner divers may find some dives challenging and may be asked by the Cruise Director to skip dives that are not suitable for their diving experience. All diving is made from zodiacs to give precise entry and exit points.

PADI Twin-Set Diver course October/November 2022

Posted on June 26, 2022

Twin set Oct Nov 2022

The PADI Twin-set Diver course gives you the opportunity to dive with 2 cylinders for extended dive times. We will be running this course in October/November 2022.

Classroom and Pool Session: Sunday 30th October – start time 1pm

Lake Dives: Sunday 13th November – Wraysbury

Why use a Twin Set?

Diving with a twin-set (2 tanks banded together) has several benefits. If you want to explore this new route, and add an exceptional skill to your diving, learning how to use a twin-set safely is very important, taking the PADI Twinset specialty course is the best way to achieve this.

Having more available air is always a huge benefit. Having that in a set up that allows you to have a redundancy is a huge safety step. The average twin-set has the ability to shut one of the tanks off should you need to.

The purpose of the PADI Twin-set course is to familiarise yourself with the use of a twin-set. It will take you through the advantages of using the twin-set, the components of the set and how to best utilise them for you. You will learn how to manage your gas usage and plan your dives to safely dive with a twin-set.

Find out more about this course…

The water temperature in November is usually around 10 degrees, we recommend you are Drysuit trained before taking this course for thermal protection.

Please drop into the centre before hand to secure your space, however if you live too far away, call us up and give us card details to hold. You can then pay the skipper on the day of the dive, we will destroy the card details held after the dive. If you don’t turn up, we will pay the skipper for your space.

IF YOU CANNOT GO, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO FILL YOUR SPACE, WE CANNOT GIVE REFUNDS AS THE BOAT WILL HAVE HELD THE BOOKING FOR US.
Also if you dropping out means that the minimum number of divers is not 6, then the others lose out, which is not fun for anyone.
