Presentation Evening Wednesday 20th December 2017

We will be holding our last presentation of the year on our Dive Club night on Wednesday 20th December, starting at about 8pm, with the Club opening at 7pm.

It will be our usual presentation evening with all of our students that have gained a certification being invited along, with our club members being here to cheer you on. Please bring any family or friends that you would like to come along. However there will of course be a festive twist to the Buffet.

Please could you let us know if you can attend so that we can cater for numbers.

Ocean View Dive Club Quiz Night 3rd November 2017

Quiz night November 2017

 

Please come and join us for our dive club quiz night this Friday 3rd November.

This event is always great fun and it gets the grey cells ticking!

Cost is £1 per person with all proceeds split between the winning team and the RNLI.

Please can you let us know if you can make it and if you are bringing a team or would like to be put in a team.

Bring your own sharing nibbles if you like.
Club opens at 7:00pm quiz starts at 7:30.

Limited to about 30 people as that is how many tables and chairs we can fit…

So……are you coming?

PADI Rescue Diver and Emergency First Response Courses – October 2017

“Challenging” and “rewarding” best describe the PADI Rescue Diver Course

Learn how to turn yourself into the best buddy, increase your safety, recognise problems before they occur

 

Our next Emergency First Response course will be running on Sunday 8th October.
Our next PADI Rescue Course will be running over the weekend of the 21st and 22nd October.
Most divers cite the Rescue course to be the best course they took, whilst serious and testing, you will learn so much to improve your dive skills, and learn to look out for your fellow dive buddies.
First aid and CPR are good skills for anyone to learn, especially those involved in adventure sports – just in case. Build your confidence and learn the skills you need to step up if an emergency situation were to ever happen.

The Emergency First Response course meets the necessary First Aid training required as part of the PADI Rescue Diver course.

If you are a rescue diver who’s First Aid course was over 2 years ago, you will need to do an update, so why not join us on this course.

If a member of your family was taken ill, or a fellow diver had an emergency, you will be able to step up and help them, knowing you can help those you care about is a reassuring feeling. PADI Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors!

We were so pleased at how many people joined us for our last presentation evening, it was great to see so many of our divers and club members. We had a mix of new Open Water divers and Specialty divers.
