First Aid Course – Emergency First Response June 2021
All courses currently being advertised are subject to us being open as per the restriction easing update announced on 22nd February.
All going well, we will be running the Emergency First Response FIRST AID course on Saturday 19th June.
First aid and CPR are good skills for anyone to learn especially those involved in adventure sports – just in case. Learning these serious skills as a family can be fun but could prove very important.
If a member of your family was taken ill, or a fellow diver had an emergency, you will be able to step up and help them, knowing you can help those you care about is a reassuring feeling.
During the course you will learn:
- Primary Care (CPR)
- Secondary Care (First Aid)
- Emergency management and equipment
- Recognising and assessing illness and injuries
- Incident management
You will need to do a some home study before the course, this is all now done with the digital PADI home study eLearning material. You don’t need to come to the shop to get the course arranged and access your digital home study, this part of the course can all be arranged via email, we can do all of this whilst the shop is still closed to the public as per current regulations, the course can be paid for via BACS, we will then send you the code for your home study, with instructions how to do this.
If you are planning on embarking on the PADI Rescue course, this First Aid course covers the requirements, if you are a Divemaster whose First Aid has lapsed due to the last year of lockdowns, this is a great time to refresh ahead of the new dive season.
To keep with the current restrictions at the date of publishing, we will need to limit the student numbers on this course, why not learn as a family!
