The car was loaded and ready to go so we headed off to meet our new students, fit them for hoods and gloves and give the kit the final once over. Everything ship shape we headed in convoy to Divers Cove in Godstone which is a beautiful in-land dive site and by the time we arrived the sun had started to come out.
On Saturday we had a combination of Open Water and Dry Suit Speciality courses being run with a total of 4 students, 3 trainee divemasters and 2 club divers getting their first UK dive in for the year.
The water was a very toasty 12 degrees and the visibility……variable! First dive is always a pleasure dive to relax and orientate everyone to the site. Dive 2 and 3 saw the completion of the dry suit skills and drills and the emergence of 2 new dry suit divers!
Well done Linda and Anna!

A nice gentle free descent to the platform, fin pivots done, hovers completed and CESA successfully accomplished it was time for a pleasure dive. Carl directed us using his perfect navigation skills to the plane wreck and then back to the shore for the surface skills.
Due to the number of divers the visibility was less than brilliant so the decision was made to have a short surface interval and get the last few skills completed and then dry off and have a cheeky burger for lunch.
Success! A new open water diver and a new dry suit diver! Excellent!
Congratulations Miles and Sophie!
