Happy New Year.
Our friends and owners of Inon UK, Steve Warren and Lisa Collins will be giving some presentations and coaching tips on underwater photography here at Ocean View. The event will be on Saturday 7th February 2015 from 10:00 until about 16:30.
So, we would like you to join us here at Ocean View , your local INON UK Accredited Retailer and Academy, for our exclusive INON UK and Olympus Underwater Photography Open Day. Learn from techniques and equipment presentations. Enjoy fun tales from a working underwater photo – journalist , as well as enjoying a hands on session in the pool with underwater photography professionals. The latest underwater photography equipment from INON and Olympus will be on show and available to use in the pool throughout the day.
What’s the line up going to be then?
Composition Presentation
Lisa will be explaining the difference between a mediocre picture, a good shot and a great image. It can be a simple case of composition. Learn some techniques which will help you elevate your underwater photography to the next level through composition.
Equipment Presentation
Steve will be giving a presentation on a guide to strobes. Successful underwater photography is much more equipment dependent than shooting on land, especially so in UK conditions. Many divers are intimidated and confused by the equipment and often waste large amounts of money on kit that is not really suitable. Equipment costs a lot of money, especially if you are buying the wrong thing in the first place. This talk explains the role strobes plays in taking good quality underwater images of a variety of subjects. Understanding the important features of strobes and how to use them will help with your underwater photography.
Photo Editing Presentation
Lisa will then continue with the next presentation, Editing Techniques. Photo editing plays a big part in underwater photography from cataloguing to more advanced manipulations of an image that could make a huge difference. This presentation will teach you basic but important editing techniques used by the professionals. Bring a couple of images on a memory stick and we will see if we can help you out (photo’s in focus will be an advantage, colours not so much).
What’s the cost of the day?
This event will be FREE, yep that’s right FREE! So if you would like to come, please email us at info@oceanviewdiving.co.uk to book your place, spaces will be on a first come basis.
